Welcome to FRR 2025

You have reached the home of Front Range Rails (FRR).

Front Range Rail is an invitation only model railroad operating weekend in the Denver, Colorado area. Though many RockyOp layouts are participatnig in FRR, FRR does not compete with RockyOp and is not held on the same years as RockyOp. RockyOp is an open weekend (anyone can participate), particiaption in FRR is via an invitation, only.

FRR 2025 Important Dates

  • July 31, 2025: Registration closes
  • August 30, 2025: Cut-off date for hotel reservations at group rate
  • September 19-September 21, 2025: Front Range Rail 2025

What’s New on FRR

  • March 3, 2025: Web page published
  • March 24, 2025: corrected the layout list and cleaned up the page rendering
  • April 23, 2025: added 4 layouts
